Perhaps there's not a dog on earth who doesn't enjoy a bite-sized snack every now and then. Like a human, however, a dog who's overfed will become overweight. Rather than depriving your dog of tasty treats, give him homemade low-calorie treats instead of the high-calorie ones sold in stores. If you love to share everything with your dog, you'll be happy to know that these are treats you can also eat.
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2Pour the water and oil into the bowl. Stir in the remaining ingredients until all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
3Sprinkle a flat surface with a light layer of flour. Fold the dough onto this surface and knead it for 3 minutes to ensure that the treats will be the right consistency.
4Use the rolling pin to flatten the dough into a sheet 1/4-inch thick. Cut out shapes using the cookie cutter and place the treats on the cookie sheet.
5Bake the treats for 30 minutes. Cool them on a wire rack before giving them to your dog.
